I wonder how much research money it took to determine (amond other things) that the rich recover more readily than the poor and those with transportation options are more likely to evacuate than those without...

Another factor that influences evacuation behavior is a person's past travel behavior, Gordon said. Low levels of past travel behavior are highly correlated with the decision to ignore evacuation orders"
