PSU is down again so Model Maps solely display the 6Z GFS.

As should be expected...changes already.

Wave 1 weaker and gets to the Islands next weekend before recurving and aiming for Bermuda.

Wave 2 stronger and nearly overruns Wave 1 before recurving east of 55.

It's doing this for many reasons but it is the 6Z run (that I usually don't use) and will upload tonight's 0Z for comparison.

There's a 3rd wave dissipates up near 40|40.

Two things to take from this:
1. GFS already has moved *several* hundred miles. That's normal in LR.
2. There's a trend with other globals to develop some of these waves. Where? I don't think anyone can say right now. But, the Islands certainly should watch the first one this week.

ps...we are moving to our new server this week so there will be problems getting the site (including the model map page). will advise when I know when.

Well GFS has flip flop a lot in recent days recurving more east and more west so I take that 6z with a grain of salt.I will wait for the real thing to develop first if it is going to do so and second I will wait and see what track it takes with the real patterns of troughs and ridges shaping up at real time. But dont get me wrong I am watching very closely.

Convection has been firing along the first wave all day. It looks to be tracking due west right now. The longer it tracks west the more interesting it's going to be. :-)
