1000 AM HST MON JUN 29 2009

FOR THE CENTRAL NORTH PACIFIC...BETWEEN 140W AND 180

1. A cluster of thunderstorms about 1100 miles southeast of Hilo, Hawaii, has been moving slowly west. While organization has not increased over the past several hours, a weak surface trough exists in an area where sea surface temperatures are sufficiently warm, with little vertical wind shear. Some additional development is possible over the next couple of days.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Wednesday morning.
