Long range loop radar from San Juan shows barely the center

You can see how it is moving as long it remains at the radar coverage.Also heavy rains are pounding Puerto Rico and flash flood watches and warnings haved been posted here.I will keep all informed about this rain event.

Avila seems to have the center further west, then what the radar out of San Juan indicates. Am I wrong?

I think he has it just about right. Are you looking at the open area on the SW side of the convection that is surrounded by convection. If you are that is not the center of the circulation IMO. It is on the SW edge of the convection shown on the radar, barely visible. With a developing system like this it is difficult to tell for sure even with radar sometimes.

Yeah, I was. But it closed up. I was wrong. Probably the MLC. We need to have recon there, that is for sure.
