Can someone tell me what happens if Alex and Darby meet up over Mexico?

Darby is really getting beaten to death by strong U/L easterly shear. There won't be much of left when it gets entrained into strong low to mid level SW flow which is forecast to take what's left of it NE into Old Mexico. There may be a smidgeon of vorticity that gets ingested into the circulation of what should be a restrengthening Alex in 3-4 days, but it's of little consequence. Darby was a very small tropical cyclone to begin with - and now it's pretty apparent that Darby is not long for this world.

Hmm. Any thoughts on Amarillo? We're taking a trip to Palo Duro over the July 4th weekend. I'd sure prefer not to be rained out...
