ULL in Gulf of Mexico

#1 Postby poof121 » Mon Jul 26, 2010 12:17 pm

According to the CIMSS vorticity maps, it looks like the ULL in the GOM might be trying to mix down to the surface.

I was checking that out. It seems like if something is trying to come together. If I am sure there are some storms forming and have been productive this morning. Hmm intresting.

I suppose it's all a question of whether it has it enough time to transition to a warm core...

Lot of spinning in the Gulf this afternoon. Lot of moisture being drawn north from the Caribbean.

I remember a very small little storm that ended up in Louisiana that formed as a gulf ULL made its way down to the surface. After it formed the remnant circulation of the ULL steered the system up into the NOLA area. Not sure of the year.
