The pressures are falling around 2, 3 even 4mbs in 24 hrs.(still high) in the mid of the gulf.
Looks like a trough, their is some shear in the area along with dry air ATTM. But this is the GOM in very late July.

Just something else to keep an eye on as most of the attention is focused to the East.
