Still ahead of schedule in the Atlantic

#1 Postby senorpepr » Sat Aug 23, 2003 1:33 am

Although it seems we may be in a bit of a lull... we're still ahead of schedule in the Atlantic. Below are the dates Tropical Depression 9 and 10 formed in the Atlantic Basic from 1995 to present.

Year: TD-09L; TD-10L
---------------------------
2003: Aug 21; TBD
2002: Sep 12; Sep 14
2001: Sep 19; Sep 21
2000: Sep 09; Sep 11
1999: Sep 11; Sep 19
1998: Sep 20; Sep 21
1997: n/a
1996: Sep 24; Oct 04
1995: Aug 22; Aug 22

Note: 1997 only had 8 tropical depressions.

Welcome to storm2k and enjoy the great discussions we have here about the tropics.

Yes 2003 is ahead and the peak of the season is still over 2 weeks away(SEPTEMBER 10TH) so for some who may be giving up this season be patient because the charts will be used many times during the rest of the season.
