#1 Postby Extratropical94 » Sun Aug 28, 2011 7:07 am

August 28 - TWO 8am EDT/AST:

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
800 AM EDT SUN AUG 28 2011

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON HURRICANE
IRENE...LOCATED ABOUT 40 MILES SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF NEW YORK
CITY...AND ON NEWLY FORMED TROPICAL STORM JOSE...LOCATED ABOUT 115
MILES SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF BERMUDA.

1. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ASSOCIATED WITH A TROPICAL WAVE LOCATED A
FEW HUNDRED MILES SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS ARE
GRADUALLY BECOMING BETTER ORGANIZED. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
APPEAR CONDUCIVE FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THIS WAVE DURING THE NEXT
COUPLE OF DAYS AS IT MOVES WESTWARD AT 10 MPH. THIS SYSTEM HAS A
MEDIUM CHANCE...40 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING
THE NEXT 48 HOURS.

2. AN ELONGATED AREA OF LOW PRESSURE...ASSOCIATED WITH THE REMNANTS OF
TROPICAL DEPRESSION TEN...IS PRODUCING DISORGANIZED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ARE LOCATED ABOUT 700 MILES WEST-NORTHWEST OF THE
NORTHERN CAPE VERDE ISLANDS. STRONG UPPER-LEVEL WINDS ARE LIKELY
TO PREVENT ANY SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENT OF THIS DISTURBANCE. THIS
SYSTEM HAS A LOW CHANCE...10 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL
CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.

2pm EDT

AN ELONGATED AREA OF LOW PRESSURE...ASSOCIATED WITH THE REMNANTS OF
TROPICAL DEPRESSION TEN...CONTINUES TO PRODUCE DISORGANIZED SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS ABOUT 700 MILES WEST-NORTHWEST OF THE NORTHERN
CAPE VERDE ISLANDS. STRONG UPPER-LEVEL WINDS ARE LIKELY TO PREVENT
ANY SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENT OF THIS DISTURBANCE. THIS SYSTEM HAS A
LOW CHANCE...10 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.

Do we need a seperate thread for this or should this be in the EX-TD10 thread?

Well it's a LPA associated with the remnants of Ten. Both threads will soon be in the archive so I guess it doesn't matter.
I decided to give this feature an own thread because I'm not sure how much of Ten is actually in this system.

Edit: By the way, in case it developed, would it be called 10L or 12/13/... (depending what number is next on the list)?
