GOM developement?

I see a spin, but high pressure and looks like lots of shear. Spin I see is just North of the Yucatan.

What you're seeing is the north end of a very weak inverted trough (the one that moved westward across Florida MON-MON night) being vented a little by some upper level divergence - i.e. jet forced ascent. The convection you see is due to a baroclinic (non- tropical) process.
