More musings from CNN met Orelon Sydney
She's at it again, folks. Today on CNN Live Today, she said the hurricane season only has 2 or 3 weeks left and after that the fall troughs coming off the U.S coast will push all tropical cyclones out to sea. I may be wrong but isn't this blatantly false. But, on the other hand, she said TD 10 was a threat to the Bahamas and didn't seem to want to downplay it the way she did TD 9.

Well yes and no........ in fall its more likely that fronts push more quickly and more often off the coast of the eastern U.S as opposed to stalling or what have you. This just means that long tracker storms will head more out to sea and wont be a threat to any land. HOWEVER systems can develop in the gulf, the caribbean and other areas closer to home and these fronts wont have a great affect on them. So for her to say that the season will be over in 2-3 weeks when fronts push off the coast is a blatant lie and misleading the public and could make people let down their guard.

She really said the season has only 2 or 3 weeks left?? There is no Guarantee that after Mid September or even after Sept 21st Fall cold fronts will send every storm out to Sea. Also.. the Atlantic isn't the only place for storm formation and in October the Western Caribbean is a favored place again for storm formation. So it wasn't very wise for her to say the season only has 2 or 3 weeks left

LOL. What sucks worse that Fox News? CNN! Hahahahahahahaha.
Fox is pretty moronic. That fair and balanced schtick doens't sit well with me. I watch it anyway, but it's a crock. Their suit against Al Franken was absolutely asinine. Anyway...
That was a blatantly dumb statement by the CNN Met. Maybe if she said the Cape Verde season only has 2-3 weeks remaining, she might have a point. But even it could last until late September, so it would be a debatable one.
Damn that was a dumb comment from a weather personality.

One bad comment in a long series of bad comments from Orleon, guys. CNN should fire her and get Flip Spiceland or Valerie Voss back. I hate the 3 CNN has now. Oreleon Sydney is a downplayer. Chad Myers likes the sound of his own voice. Jaquie Jerras is too young and inexperienced. BRING BACK FLIP SPICELAND. I LOVED HIM.
