I was wondering where he was going to end up. Last time I talked to anyone at NWS Houston, they had no idea what he was going to do supposedly. I hope he might be at the Hurricane Workshop tomorrow. I'll ask him to start posting here since he is a member.

Nice to finally meet you in person Jeff. Also had a nice talk with both Dr. Bill Read and Dr. Rick Knabb while I was there. Also met several of the NWS Houston/Galveston crew. Came home with lots of freebies. It's going to take a while to go through it all.

   No, I didn't. I was working on connecting more than anything. I am looking forward to being able to discuss the weather with them. Both of them knew about STORM2K. When I introduced myself I pointed out my S2K shirt and told them I was one of the admins and they both recognized it immediately.

I wish that Tampa Bay had something to the magnitude of that in Houston. All cities should take note of that event. I'm glad that you had a good time, and it's not surprise that they knew of Storm2k...especially with all the times that I have written into the NHC over the years.

I was surprised to find out that Houston's Hurricane Workshop is supposed to be the largest of this type in the nation.

It is by far the biggest workshop of that nature that I know of.
