Major cane Fabian crossed the 50w longitud

For us who are living in the islands the 50w line is important to determine if a system will affect the islands depending on the movement.Fabian just crossed that line but south of 18n where the northern leewards are and also the british VI,the american VI and Puerto Rico.Until Fabian clears 18-19n we here will have to continue to watch that track to see if that west motion continues.Hopefully it deviates well away from the islands as the forecasts are eluding to but you never know what mother nature has instored.

I guess its a whole different ballgame for you guys in the tropical region!! I'm here in the UK watching all this and I love severe weather (if you had not already guessed). I do want to experience a hurricane however. I might get a chance later next week - will have to wait and see!!

Recent IR imagery shows a nice westward motion (wobble). How long will it continue?? I definitely wouldn't let my guard down in the northern Leeward Islands. Though it didn't affect the N. Leeward Islands, for some reason I am being reminded of Andrew, at least in terms of models and actual track.. Lets see how quickly the ridge lifts..
