September 1992 curiousity

i was playing around in the satellite archives, and was wondering about a little something I found, i don't know if anyone remembers any mention of it, or might have any information on it, personally I can't find anything, but it appears to have been quite tropical, even with an eye for awhile

Cant remember the year but there was a storm that hit the Carolinas that was probably a hurricane that wasn't named

and there are many others not included here so could there be a list of those storms that could be added in reanalysis

What would be funny is if it turned out Hurricane Andrew was suppose to be like Hurricane Danielle or Earl . Even better (this would never happen of course) would be the attempt to change the name Andrew from the historical record to something else by re-titling anything to do with it! Oh the hilarity that would ensue!

I know, that's why I put "(this would never happen of course)". For 1950, did the idea that the M storm would be Mike come from a certain phonic alphabet list?

Correct, and that STS is sitting in HURDAT as the first storm of 1992. It would have been Andrew if it was named properly.

The re-analysis project is aware of all the suspects and all of them will be studied and properly analysed. Just be patient!

I know the name "Andrew" only means something to us because of the memories we now associate with it.... but boy, I really can't imagine that storm having been named Bonnie.
