Need help with speakers for hurricane/flooding meeting with

#1 Postby Houstonia » Sat Jun 01, 2013 10:03 pm

Fellow 2kers,

After posting pictures from today's hurricane workshop, I was approached by my civic association and asked if I could organize a speaker or two of some "official capacity" to come in and talk about hurricane preparedness at the June monthly general meeting. Our meetings are, I'm pretty sure, the third Thursday evening of each month. I would really like to present them with an informative, interested, engaging speaker.

Any ideas/contacts that you could share with me? I met Jeff Lindner at the workshop as well as Dr. Bill Read. But that's about it for me. (REALLY wish I could get David Paul out! LOL!!)

You can respond privately if you need to - I check my messages here, regularly during hurricane season. ;-)

thank you for any ideas!!

I would recommend hurricanetrack (Mark), but I don't believe he'll be in the area. He was partnered with Lowe's, doing hurricane preparedness stuff for years, on top of all the video he has. At the very least, you could ask if he has any video you can use to help out!
