Possibly something to watch in the southern Gulf, should it make it there by this weekend. The "death ridge" over Texas should be shifting west by then as an upper-low develops along the mid Gulf coast. That may open the Gulf up for development (at least the potential for development).

The season is juiced and has that 'feel' here. Wicked muggy at night and a night thunderstorm last night.

There's a slight hint of turning in that wave though weak.

There's no "feel" here in Texas. Temps above 100F and not a cloud in the sky.

I don't see any model support whatsoever for this wave. That said, it is flaring up quite nicely. Since it pretty much has been a desert out there in the Atlantic, any flare up of storms like this in the MDR becomes a big deal! :)

:uarrow: Maybe is because we are thirsty for rain in the Eastern Caribbean that only a cloud motivates us to be optimistic to aliviate the drought this region is going thru. :D

Agree with you, whereas Guadeloupe and Martinica have not been placed on any yellow alert for now... meaning that modest amount of rain are expected. Anyway, if i've any infos i will keep you inform.

Our Pro Mets reported very modest amount of rain mostly 5 millimiters during the night :( but a nice gust 58km/h at Marie-Galante. The latest weather forecast do not mention strong rain but more isolated showers so we should not enjoy even a modest rain maker to erase the severe drought in most of the EC islands.
