Have there been any characteristics in tropical cyclones that you have noticed that are almost only seen in one basin? This is excluding the season dates and the pole ward rotation.
For example I noticed the EPAC tends to produce tiny hurricanes and the WPAC spawns large typhoons. I also noticed that storms forming from nontropical origins usually occur in the Atlantic.

I notice in the Southern Hemisphere, Indian and Pacific Ocean, tropical cyclones become extratropical past the Tropic of Capricorn or around 23°S. In the Northern Hemisphere, tropical cyclones tend to become extratropical after 35°N. However, I have seen tropical cyclones far north in the Atlantic.
Another thing I notice is that Atlantic tropical cyclones form from tropical waves or easterlies. This also applies to the East Pacific. Most tropical cyclones form from monsoonal lows.

This isn't exactly tropical cyclone themselves, but the Atlantic has SAL. While it's not a huge deal in other basins (obvious reasons i.e. Africa and the world's largest non-polar desert) it plays a role in the Atlantic. If it didn't exist, odds are the Atlantic would be much more active than it's current climo and much earlier in the year.

WPAC storms are monsters more than 50% of the time even higher in normal and nino seasons...
