TD12 Update 10 p.m. pressure down to 1011.....

and TS warnings up -- excerpt:

AT 10 PM CDT...0300Z...THE POORLY-DEFINED CENTER OF TROPICAL
DEPRESSION TWELVE WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 27.5 NORTH...LONGITUDE
87.5 WEST OR ABOUT 210 MILES...335 KM...SOUTHWEST OF APALACHICOLA
FLORIDA.

THE DEPRESSION HAS BEEN NEARLY STATIONARY...BUT A GRADUAL SLOW
MOTION TOWARD THE NORTHEAST OR EAST-NORTHEAST IS EXPECTED DURING
THE NEXT 12 TO 24 HOURS.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 30 MPH...45 KM/HR...MAINLY IN
ISOLATED SQUALLS TO THE EAST OF THE CENTER. HOWEVER...SOME SLOW
STRENGTHENING IS FORECAST AND THE DEPRESSION COULD STILL BECOME A
TROPICAL STORM DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

THE ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 1011 MB...29.85 INCHES.

Hi Ron, glad you found your way here. Yes, this sure won't help the flooding situation around here. Other than that, it doesn't look too threatening -- yet.

Pressure

Yes, the 10pm pressure is listed as 1011mb, but if you read the discussion it says that 1011 was the last pressure recorded around 4pm this afternoon. There's no plane in there now. With convection all gone, the pressure could have risen a bit. Looks pretty pathetic on satellite. Checking the buoy plots, all buoys in the eastern Gulf now show about a 1mb pressure rise since 4pm CDT. Not an indication of strengthening....
