Remnants of 94L east of the Bahamas
The models seem to want to weakly develop this and the models have been really bad at intensity this year so this may be something to watch in Bermuda in the midrange

Re: Tropical wave between Africa and the Lesser Antilles
Was fairly impressive yesterday, less so today but practically every wave lately is trying to develop so it wouldn't be shocking

Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.

00z GFS develops this into a Weak TS. If developed it would beat the record of earliest "J" storm by about 20 days.

A westward-moving tropical wave located about 1000 miles east
of the Lesser Antilles is producing a limited amount of shower
activity. Some slow development of this system is possible while
it turns northwestward over the western Atlantic early next week.

Re: Tropical wave between Africa and the Lesser Antilles
Has surprisingly good model support for a brief weak system in a bit, couldn't tell it from looking at its current unimpressive appearance though

Re: Tropical wave between Africa and the Lesser Antilles
Pretty much everything that can form in 2020 has, so I fully expect this to form. Not based on any scientific reasoning, just based on this year being what it has been.

1. A westward-moving tropical wave located about 650 miles east of
the Lesser Antilles continues to produce a few disorganized
showers. Environmental conditions are forecast to become more
conducive for development in a day or two, and a tropical
depression could form early next week. This system is forecast to
turn northwestward, and then northward over the western Atlantic
north of the Leeward Islands through the middle of next week.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent.

GFS backing off and doesn't seem like there's any other models supporting, have the upper air data from Isaias recon flights shown prevailing upper air flow less favorable than earlier thought?

Re: Tropical wave between Africa and the Lesser Antilles
8 PM:
Showers and thunderstorms associated with a tropical wave located a
a few hundred miles east of the Leeward Islands have slowly become
better organized throughout the day. Although the disturbance does
not appear to be very well defined at the surface at this time,
environmental conditions are forecast to be conducive for some
additional development for the next few days, and a tropical
depression could form early next week. This system is forecast to
turn northwestward and then northward over the western Atlantic,
passing north of the Leeward Islands on Monday and Tuesday.

Improved satellite presentation today but shear and Dry air will likely keep it in check if it continues to meander
