10:30AM CDT High-Res Henri Pic with Sfc Obs

Here's the latest, hot off my workstation. Highest sustained wind I can find so far is 25 kts at that buoy just north of where the center passed. The center is very hard to find on radar now, as all squalls seem to be concentrating along the Florida coast. Not much near the center. Note winds on the beaches in the 15kt range with 5-10 kts inland. It won't get too much worse than that wind-wise in Florida today. But WATCH OUT For the rain!

Definitly the rain is the biggest threat from this disturbance that I dont call it a true tropical storm and I am with you on this debate of naming it without any strong data to support tropical storm classification but the balance may be the pressure lower to counter the other side of the debate.

It seems now that Henri has stalled! Shear has exposed the LLCC a tad north of where I thought it was. Let's watch what he does. That shear has crippled what was earlier a decent-looking Henri. This is typical for tropical systems in the barclonic area

Here's a new image from 10:30am or so. Note the exposed LLC just southeast of that buoy which is reporting NE wind at 31kts. Note also that there are NO squalls anywhere near the center now. Looks more like an elongated squall line moving ashore. Again, no wind inland with Henri, just rain.
