Isabel out to sea?

Hey guys,

If you look closely at the NHC Water Vapor Northeast Pacific loop http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/DATA/RT ... -loop.html
you can see that a large upper low system is approaching California. I was looking at the WeatherChannel and that same trough is forecast to be passing the midwest around Thursday-Friday of this upcoming week. At that same time, Isabel is going to be around the area of Puerto-Rico. So if this trough continues to move east could that potentially curve Isabel away from the East coast or am I being fooled by the Weather Channel?

California and Isabel are 2 way different areas, Ricky. ;) I live in California. Isabel is about 8,000 miles SE of here in the middle of the Atlantic. :)

lol yeah I know. I was a bit confused cause that trough according to WeatherChannel is going to be approaching the East coast in about 6 days time. In 6 days Isabel will be around the Islands. Perhaps Im thinking too far ahead of myself.....

Weatheremporer.. its ok.. Isabel may end up out to sea, its really to early to tell for sure but you can bet it will be debated in the days ahead:):)

Joshua, I wouldn't say Isabel is SE of you, more like ESE of you.

The trough may not matter, Isabel could easily miss the trough if it doesn't dig far enough south to big "her" up.
