Based off of the weaker August’s we’ve had over the past few years (other then the fact that 2023 went from E to K in August), I’m guessing that 2-4 storms will form in August.

There is no 2-4 option. You may have to vote for options Two, Three or Four and is only 1 vote per member.

I voted three based on my median in my 2-4 prediction. Three is the median.

I swear the middle part of the months always seems to sneak up on me. I'm going with four. Just because, I guess.

I'm jumping on Andy Hazelton's "questionably confident" slow-go August feels bandwagon and sticking with my 2013'ish season analog feeling. That year produced 2 named storms in August, but I'm guessing this August will try and eek out 3.

Re: How many named storms will form in August?
I guess I'm not sold on a super quiet August, although I wouldn't be surprised if the first half of the month is on the quieter side. There's a reason Aug 20 is considered the bell-ringing date. I'm going with 4 storms for August, with 3 of them after 8/15

Voted 3. I don't think it will be completely dead like 2022, we'll probably see a few storms. There likely will be some unfavorable periods during the month and lots of season cancelling.
