Something to keep in mind

While many are waiting for the west turn the models are pretty unanimous that it won't occur until around 19.5n-20.0n/48-50W. So far isabel is behaving as advertised....Even the models that bend her wsw/sw and affect the northern Antilles/PR follow the same logic. So personally I'm not surprised at all in the current wnw movement. IMO I don't expect the turn to the west to begin until tommorrow afternoon or Tuesday night. At that point then I think we will start to get a better handle on Isabel and potential affects on the islands and PR.

As I have seen, some models turn Isabel to the west-southwest or southwest when around 20N. I live in Puerto Rico and that possible turn makes me to worry about it. Do you think that WSW or SW turn is a real possibility?

The best thing for us in Puerto Rico is for Isabel to contunue moving like it has done from yesterday NW or WNW but I am afraid that will change shortly but the key for the northern islands to be affected by Isabel will be how far north she goes before it goes west.

Saludos a ustedes I estamos creciendo aqui los miembros de Puerto Rico. :)

The time to be scared is when and if the 270 degree turn starts and continues.

Until then, I'd check my food, water, and hurricane supplies and make sure my shutters are in working order.

Then IF the shift starts, I won't be too scared because I'd be prepared.
