Westward track seems to be materializing..Leeward Islands...
Latest satellite trends indicate the so-much advertised westward motion is starting to take place. This is further south than expected at the 5am advisory. I don't think this is a wobble now, but the beginning of a prolonged track towards the west. All of this is due to the WSW surge to the NE of Isabel, which you can easily see that it has becomed quite marked lately if you look at a long satellite loop. This unfortunately will bring it very close to the Leeward Islands, it looks like. Let's see what will happen from here, but if this continues (which is likely) the NHC will likely lower the track closer to the islands. This is becoming a serious situation...

I'm starting to become concerned with this system as I have relatives over there in Ponce, Puerto Rico. The forecast track may have to be shifted slightly south very soon now that the more westerly motion (275º)is beginning to take place. It should not go too much north after this morning, so it may not quite reach 20N, afterall.
