Chaser UK, if you want to see the storm, I'm not sure you'd get what you expect here. If I stay, my house will be completely shuttered -- as should any place where humans want to survive a cat 3+ storm. No way to see outside, no power, a massive cleanup afterward with looting, no airconditioning, airports closed, everyone who survives walking around with guns and bad tempers.
You might want to consider booking a room in a strong hotel (not motel) at least 5 miles from the beach (otherwise they'll make you evacuate) and do it soon. You can usually cancel a reservation, and people in mobile homes and coastal apartments will be looking for hotel rooms if this thing does come close.
As the storm gets closer and your plans become firmer, keep posting. If you are in the area and the danger isn't too great (like a direct hit from a Cat 4 or 5), I might be here and be looking for help. But I think it would be a rotten way to spend a vacation.

Actually, I'm currently in Nouakchott Mauritania where I work with a relief & development project. (Mauritania is just above Senegal... don't blame ME for Isabel -- she came off the African coast to the south of Mauritania!)
I have a home in Boca Raton and my brother in WPB. I AM VERY WORRIED for S. Fl right now. You all will be much in my thoughts and prayers!
