Interesting late night observation..

I think it's kinda eerie that I left the board shortly before Midnight.. I can't sleep and I come back and suddenly it's "Oh my god" for South Florida..

I have always had bad vibes about this storm.. It should have started WNW already and hasn't done so..

Not yet time to push the panic buttons.. but maybe time to get a little more tense..

I know my own personal stature doesn't matter but Isabel has had me tense since she formed..

I have had a bad feeling like before Andrew with this one!

If this storm is cat 5 when it hits somewhere and it is a very pop. place ie. downtown mia; This could be the big ONE they have been predicting for the US for a while now!

Devastation would be unreal, especial with such a large EYE, this storm would devastate south fla or any major pop. area!

Someone is going to get screwed, and INS can't keep this crazy girl out of the country!

But seriously, local mets here are on the "cold front brigade".. and they need to jump off it till the storm has left us for good..

While I certainly don't think Florida is out of the woods, I'd also remind everyone that a continued westward motion at this point was not unexpected.

The gradual turn should begin to happen by late this weekend. It's certainly natural and easy for all of us to get caught up in short-term trends, but try to remember to step back and take a look at the big picture and earlier forecasts also.

Still plenty of uncertainty, but fortunately, plenty of time to watch Isabel.
