Pressure Gradient
Various models have the Quebec high pressure at strengths from 1024mil to 1032mil when Iszzy approaches the coastline. This would be a great setup for a blizzard in the NE in winter, but instead of dealing with a 986mil low, the NE will be dealing with a possible 960 low. This will translate to a huge pressure difference over a relatively small area. So regardless of the landfalling wind speed of Izzy, the easterly wind fetch will be of a long duration and potentially extremely damaging to the coast line from NC northward. Any thoughts?
