What do you think S.C. would get out of it? Anyone?

As I look at the model data this morning, there is virtually uninanimous agreement in a landfall from the northern NC coast to Long Island between next Wednesday night and Friday morning. I'm in agreement with the current NHC track, though Isabel may turn north a little earlier then curve NW toward Hatteras or just north of there.

If Isabel took that track, SC would hardly know it went by. You'd see some of the cirrus blow-off and that's about it (except along the beaches, of course, where waves would be a tad on the high side).

I think it'll probably be a Cat 3 storm at landfall, but with a weakening left side with winds only 80-100 mph on that side.

You Floridians can be thankfull it won't be driven WNW toward you as a strong Cat 4.
