Any Warnings or Watches for Bahamas?

#1 Postby regkit » Sun Sep 14, 2003 11:22 am

Hi All:

Does anyone know if there are any watches or warnings out for the Northern Bahamas she sure looks like she is heading towards Nassau and Freeport.

Any thoughts on this I think she will be close to there Tuesday afternoon?

No watches or warnings are posted for any of the Bahamas chain islands due to the fact Isabel will move to the north of them as it turns NW in response to a trough that will give it the kick to the north and away from those islands.

Click here to see when and where they are issued. As Luis said, none for the Bahamas.

No watches or warnings for them YET but if she continues on WNW longer than expected.. they'd better consider it..

I calculate that TS-force winds will pass about 200-250 miles northeast of the easern Bahamas if Isabel maintains its current track. That might be close enough for a watch by tonight, but the Bahamas should be in the clear unless there is a westward deviation.

Thanks wxman.. it seems as though the Bahamas & Florida will be lucky again.. I just hope for the best further up the coast!
