As Kat mentioned in another post....Please take precautions for your pets. If you are going to evacuate, please remember that evacuation stations cannot take pets BUT, you can either board them inland at a kennel, or your veterinarian could be an option. Some hotels will take them if you are planning to stay in one. Or possibly a friend or relative that lives inland could help you out too. Keeping them loced inside an unsafe dwelling i.e., unattached storage shed, garage, or tied up somewhere could be a death sentenance for them so please take precautions!!! I know that in my part of Florida, there are some vet hospitals and boarding clinics that have charged nothing to board an animal when an approaching hurricane is coming....... :o :o
