My Compliments to this board

#1 Postby Downdraft » Mon Sep 15, 2003 10:55 am

No one was more loyal to GoPBI than I was having followed it for years. That being said despite the diversity of opinion on here I cannot think of one instance that I'd consider "flame." It is such a pleasure to be free of the trolls and the name callers. I'm glad I finally came over and I plan on staying. My compliments to each and every poster on here.

Welcome my friend, I recently made thew switch myself. Could not take it anymore over there. This board is friendly and professional and most of all, they respect your opinion, if it is foolish, they give your supporting evidence as to whyin a tactful manner.

I was over there too downdraft but it was a zoo over there and after they created storm2k it has been a smooth sailing board with of course a minimal of trolls trying to enter here and one of them you may know who he is but we have booted them as quickly as they come.

The tension level on this board is dramatically lower. I'll stay here thank you. :P

We are all glad that you are here!! I, too, made the switch last year and am very proud of the way the mods handle this board. While the tensions have been higher than usual due to Isabel and the influx of new personalities, it is still the best board ever. I have to try to remember that sometimes because S2K has definitely spoiled me rotten! :)

Hi Downdraft:

Glad to see you here. I, too, jumped ship as the tension was unbelievable. When I occasionally stop by there to get the coordinates, it seems that nothing has changed. Here we are a much more cohesive group and I've met so many people I pleased to call friends-plus the olds friends have come over as well and that's more of a plus.

Happy to call Storm 2k home,
Lynn :D

I totally agree. I used to post on GoPBI a few years ago but became a lurker after things got out of hand. This board is a breath of fresh air. It's such a bonus to have the pro's. Their perspective helps balance out the -removed-. Thanks S2K.............

Great to have you here. Remember that emotion runs high during storms like Isabel...but that respect for each other's opinion is something that is expected.

Nice to see all the healthy ideas floating around the board.

Keep it up!

Hi folks! I too am new to this board. I have been really impressed with the level of discussion and the information that is shared here! I'm in Nassau, Bahamas, so I, too, was on pins and needles these past couple of days. However, this board gave me alot of information and insight that was unavailable otherwise. Thanks much!

Yes, S2K is one of the finest boards I've ever experienced.

Why go to School when you can go to Storm2k to learn all about the weather? It's a lot more fun too!!!! :D

We really appreciate the kind words everyone. STORM2K started as a labor of love last October with a fairly small but determined group. Most of us met through the old GoPBI Stormchat. We've come to be like an extended family here! While the last couple of days have been a little rough around the edges, the entire staff is committed to keeping this a member friendly place to be! If you ever have a problem with a post on the board please don't respond in kind. Just grab one of the Admins or Moderators and we'll take care of it! :-)

Welcome to the family everyone! :-)
