What do we have here?? Anything??

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

This looks very interesting. It has shown persistence, and that is key.

Is comming to that time of the season when the action shifts from the Cape verde season to the GOM and the western caribbean.

The buoys from NDBC show pressures still rather high but wind direction
from each beginning to show a broad low. Isn't there an upper level low
there anyway ?

I'd say, strictly unprofessionally, that it has a shot- it it hangs in there. See the movement west to east in the north- and the movement east to west in teh south. Given a little bit of a push, some warm surface temps and a little luck (luck for the system- not for us gomers!)

I see development.

Of course- it's equally possible it's only clouds moving aobut in the gulf!

Convection is still firing in the gulf as it was all day yesterday. This could be something if it sits out there another day or so.

TWC (I know, I know) lol... just mentioned this "blob" and it is going to give some rain to Texas. No mention though of any development.
