High Pressure over the United States...

The high pressure that was behind the cold front when Hurricane Claudette moved westward through the Gulf of Mexico is basically the same setup we have now with the high pressure over the eastern United States behind the cold front in the southeastern United States.

As you can tell it isn't moving Isabel in the same way Claudette did in relation to the locations of each weather system.....
