It's not that I disagree with you.. but what do you mean by "creating her own buffer zone" is that the same as "creating her own environment" lol

Sorry for being unclear. Just meant it looks like the ridge to the north might be building somewhat westward again (as mentioned BTW, in the disc. earlier.) If the trough lifts and the shear subsides at all, seems like it would make quite a difference in her intensity and path. But a real unknown at this time.

Isabel is looking much healthier than 16 hours ago, and it appears she's about to spin up an eye again.
I'm not so sure that the principle reason she weakened so much wasn't that huge gulp of dry air she took yesterday. It does appear that the dry air in front of her is diminishing, and good outflow has returned in force on the western side.
There's a lot of time and warm water between now and landfall, so significant reintensification still has plenty of time to occur.
