How intense will hurricane Isabel be at landfall??

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

You've read my opinion...and Miles Lawrence's....now it's time to hear from you....

How strong will the sustained winds be in hurricane Isabel when it makes landfall??

For some reason, the poll didn't include my final option of 135 mph( 120 kts) or greater (I must have done something wrong). If anyone believes Isabel will be a cat-4 hurricane at landfall....please just post it below. My humble apologies.

Thanks

And the poll didn't indicate less than 75 mph, which I am beginning to think is very likely, given the current intrusion of very dry air.

I am not a Pro by any means... in fact I'm a lived through it enough self taught newbie, compared to most of you. I have been watching Isabel, and I belive you have hit it on the head JetMaxx. IMO there is lots of warm water for her to go over, she is gonna pull away from the shear, and continue to intensify. Strong 3 at landfall looks like a real possibility to me.... sighs... runs and grabs more boxes to pack stuff that was gonna be left behind but is now going to get moved.

But isn't that what the first option means when it says "or less"?

Izzy will slam into the Outer Banks as a Category 3 Cane with 125 to 135 mph winds. It will strengthen.

IF you are on the east side of this storm....................

LOOK OUT-----YOU WILL GET THRASHED

Once the shear lifts there is nothing stopping her from intensifing as she has been tricking the NHC with intensity from word go.

Remember she went from a strong tropical wave to a 40-45 mph Tropical Storm.
