Thursday 3:40PM: Well, my fears of a hazel repeat on the east coast
seem to have been wrong; The storm weakend to 100mph before landfall
in one of the sounds inside of the outer banks. Right now, here, we
remain under a Tropical Strom Warning. The rain shield from isabel has
now just about completly enveloped the Delmarva Peninsula. Right now
here, Winds are sustained at about 10-15 mph, With gusts to about 40ish
mph. Rain is moderate, And if I Were to guess, I'd say we've gottnen
about 1/2-1 inch of rain, With final predicted ammounts being about 3-6
inches. No real damage yet anywehre in the yard, Wxcpet our old Willow
Wree has lost some of its old dead,And weak branches; It and our other
trees have lost quite a few leaves, Many of which have blown onto our
boardwalk walkway, Making a muddy, Wet, Slippery mess...yeck!
Right now, I Think that the worst of the storm has not impacted us yet;
I Belive the worst part of the storm will start hitting us around 5pm
tonight, and last into the wee hours of friday. We have had 1 or 2
power trips, And I expect us to loose power sometime tonight.
