TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHY......

the pressure here in West Central Fla. has dropped to 29.89 since last night. Anyone have a clue? Beautiful sunny, early fall day.

That is confusing with all the nice Dry Air.
From the 8am discussion

SURFACE SYNOPTIC FEATURES...
STRONG HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE NE UNITED STATES EXTENDS SW
THROUGH THE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY AND INTO THE W GULF OF MEXICO TO
THE BAY OF CAMPECHE.

SURFACE TROUGH TRAILS SWD FROM HURRICANE ISABEL NEAR THE COAST
OF NORTH CAROLINA OVER EXTREME S FLORIDA TO THE N TIP OF THE
YUCATAN PENINSULA.

High Pressure can be cloudy and Low Pressure can be sunny..weather is funny stuff..

29.89 really isn't that low...

Especially for a late summer day, in the tropics.

Well, it's usually higher when we're ensconced in dry air. So ??

You beat me to it, WhirlWind! I noticed that before I saw Dixie's post. Strange but explains my severe headache today!

Lynn, I've had headaches, too! Always do when the pressure is low, but I never dreamed it was low since it was such a beautiful day.
