Dixie, there's likely rain-contamination with those wind barbs at this time. Also take a look at the structure of the wind barbs ... resembles more of a frontal system right now. However, since it's progged to kinda sit out there, there's potential for a transition to tropical, and IMO, we MAY see a subtropical phase at the formation (if it does form). A couple of models (including the EURO) are starting to honk on it, so it'll be watched closely.
