At this point in the tropical season, the western Caribbean is a place to watch, as far as tropical development. There is a wave along 82 west, south of 19 north, and there is a cluster of thunderstorms near the coast of the Yucatan, but at this point, there is nothing at all organized.
We've seen some (fairly) promising looking stuff already, but nothing has been able to persist as of yet. That's all we're waiting for... persistance...
