Increased Activity
Well hurricane guru Dr. Gray has said we are entering a period of increased hurricane activity. So folks along the coast need to have a plan of action formed BEFORE the next one comes.

Not only the US coastline but here in the caribbean islands too we have to be ready for a major cane hitting as Dr Gray says about the caribbean landfall probabilities.

The Caribbean is not exactly overdue with Major Hurricanes landfalls as so far most areas of the Caribbean have experienced Major Hurricane landfalls.
1995 - Luis

<LI>Yucutan Peninsula (Mexico)</LI>
1996 - Lili

True!! but here in PR we are way overdue for a cat 4 and cat 5
the last cat 5 was in september 13 1928 ( San Felipe 2)
and if im not mistaken the last cat 4 was (Hugo) in 1989

Yes that is true i meant Major Hurricane landfalls was not overdue but very strong Major hurricanes are indeed overdue.
as out of all the above Majors only the following were of category 4 status.

i know what you mean, just pointing out some stats.
and Hugo was a cat 4 it was weakening and east of PR before landfall at the northeast tip of the island it weaken to a cat 3. (tough i may be wrong)
in wich case the last cat 4 would have been 1867 (san narciso) in oct 29
