I'm sure Isabel will be retired. I didn't realize that Lili was retired too. That makes three retired storms that I've been through (Lili, Andrew, Allison). I know Allison's worst effects were in Houston but we received 20" of rain from her as well so I'll count it!

I'd say that out of all the Atlantic storms, Carmen, Inez, and Fifi are the hardest to find info on.

However, info on Diana and Klaus seems to be non-existant.

Probably because both storms suffer from "mistaken identity".

In 1984, Klaus was noteworthy for forming late in November. However, Lili took the cake by becoming a hurricane in mid December. Lili was probably the latest Atlantic hurricane to form since Alice became a hurricane on December 30, 1954.

(Alice remained a hurricane until January 4th, 1955. Thus, Alice claims both titles as latest Atlantic hurricane and earliest.)

As for Diana, we all know she threatened NC as a borderline category 3/4. Then she stalled, weakened, and came onshore as a Category 2. She also struck at low tide.

If you do a google search on Diana, 99% of the info will probably be on the 1984 Diana, although it was 1990's Diana who was retired. In fact, many people probably think Diana was retired in 1984.

Any information on Hurricane Diana and Hurricane Klaus in 1990 would be greatly appreciated as I'm curious about these storms.

Diana was a very destructive cat 2 storm that made landfall near Veracruz. 10's of thousands of homes were destroyed by the storm
