Tropical Activity

Steve, Senor, or whoever...

I remember awhile back, perhaps in February, where one of you (I'm pretty sure) reported a statistic showing that we were below average for the year for world tropical activity.

It seems like over the past couple months (omitting the burst in the WPAC and IO) we have been seriously lacking cyclones in the ponds. Could whoever post an updated version of that stat if available? And also what is the time scale for this average (ie, Jan to Dec, or June to May, etc)?
