Ummm. I have a question.
What does the weather look like for June 17-21 from Tampa, Florida to Cozmel, Mexico? I am going on a Cruise with Carnival Cruise lines then to Cozmel, Mexico departing from Tampa Fl on the 17th! Will there be anything tropical in nature is what I mean? Will we be hit by a wave. The one that is just east of the Lesser Antillies? Just seeing what to expect thanks!!!!

It's simply not possible to make any sort of forecast that far ahead for that location. Ask again June 12th or so.
Keep in mind that a tropical system forms in the Atlantic in the entire month of June only once every other year on average; the odds of there being a tropical system during the time of your cruise in the specific area of your cruise are very, very, very, very, very low.

The general forecast this time of year for west-central Florida is afternoon and even thunderstorms. The overall wind pattern is west to east (was east to west earlier this week), which will obviously move all seabreeze boundary activity away from Tampa during the course of the afternoon.
The stronger cells move more erratically.

As I said, with the chances of rain in Tampa this week and the chances in most June's being rather high you have a fair enough chance seeing showers and thunderstorms in Tampa and on the way to Cozumel.
If this were mid October through May the chances of seeing rain would be greatly reduced, obviously depending whether there is a frontal system moving toward and through Florida that actually has moisture at all levels of the atmosphere to produce showers and possible storms.

K.C the only system to watch now is the wave east of the islands that if it survives the hostile conditions it can make it to the western caribbean.
