Forget about tropical development from this tropical wave as long as the TUTT or semipermament (upper tropospheric trough) hangs around in the caribbean and western atlantic.For those newbies when you look at those sat pics you can see those SW upper winds tearing apart the thunderstorms and that is a very hostil enviroment and imposible for a tropical wave to survive.In other words the search for Alex continues and the question is when and where Alex will form eventually.But let's be patient because the season is only 16 days old and for sure we will be tracking a few systems down the road and even 2 or 3 systems at one day.
