It is normal to have nothing on junes and julys with rare exceptions.

Can't we have just one storm before the season ends?

I remember reading something on the BBC that some weather researchers believe that as our world climate heats up, hurricanes, typhoons and cyclones may diminish because of increased shear/ higher winds, and so on, that will tear them apart before they can do much. Does anyone know any more of this theory?
Well, it's something to talk about since the weather is so deadly dull.

Southern Oscillation
Any thoughts on the extremely low Southern Oscillation (now -36.00) and the affect on any tropical development?

Welcome to the board Stormelf..
I haven't read anything about the theory but it could be plausable...I would tend to think the more winds..the bigger/stronger the storms because like now... things will eventually organize...less but worse is possible i reckon..

Welcome as well stormcloud..
I don't think it will have much affect at all..neutral for the next 3 months.. mean it'a will be kinda late to affect prime time of season..
