I don't know if freak is the right word, but I'm personally thinking that someone may get clocked. My guess is (gut feel) that for my state (FL) we'll feel the effects of 3 tropical systems this year: 1 TS, 1 hurricane (C1/C2) and maybe an intense one down south; maybe near west palm. Just a gut feel. We've been spared for 12 years now. This season has a diiferent look and feel to it. I can't back this up with data, just a gut feel. And yeah I said something similar last year, but the dice keep rolling. That, and I think it was one of the mets on here showed some ominous stats on what he termed "cold" type years. Those showed 12 majors hurcs striking the peninsula over 20 some-odd years. That was eye-opening

I kinda have a gut feelin about this year too... I am in Houston and the last major storm we have had was Alicia... And that was in the ealy 80's... All we have had since then are tropical sotrms, like Allison... I say this every year, but I think this is the year!

I think Tex/Mex will get hit by a catgeory 4. Louisiana with a cat 5 and Fl with many TS and minimals.

I think South Fla will receive multiple hits this season by a couple moderate to intense canes.

I think New England is gonna get a Category 1.

I had a dream that a Category 1 hit New England. However, the name was "Arthur". I guess my prediction should be saved until 2008.

But seriously, I consider my hurricane dreams as just that: dreams.

My gut feeling is that the Upper Keys are in for it this season. I feel so strongly about it that I am putting off replacing the roof on my house until the season ends. With my luck, a week after having a new roof put on a CAT. 4 will roll through Key Largo and my roof will be in the neighbor's yard.
