It does look a little better this morning, but how long will the convection last this time? If it lasts throughout the day, it has a shot, but our little storm is approaching cooler waters.

There's little doubt that there is a closed circulation there...check out the low-level could bands in the latest visible imagery to confirm this.

Also...the circulation shows up quite nicely in the latest SSM/I (85h) pass from 10am this morning:

Not as easy to spot in 37H imagery...but low level banding is evident:

Kind of reminds me of TD4 from 2001 (I think). Nice little swirl but zero deep convection. If this were close to the US it would be a TD...but since it's already moving toward colder waters...it's just something to pass the time.

Pretty clear they're not going to bother with it.

Objectively, the most convection this thing has ever had has been a pretty pathetically low amount.

And, of course, the circ is exposed again.
