Don't look for 97L to close off a circulation any time soon. This system reminds me of Claudette of last season. As you recall, the tropical wave that became Claudette looked great from space. No closed circulation was found by recon until the wave reached the mid Caribbean. I feel this will be the case with 97L. Look for potential development in a couple of days when 97L reached the mid Caribbean, that is if it hold together....MGC

Agreed.

It might be another day or two for development to occur - if anything will occur at all - even though the wave seem to have slowed down. It should pass over the Southern Windward Islands and bring some good rain.

Yes, but remember, Claudette became a dangerous hurricane.

Agree, it is rather ragged and wil be a slow developer...but may be a Florida system as opposed to a Tx system as claudette was due to the deep East Coast Trough!
