#1 Postby Renata » Mon Jul 19, 2004 4:30 pm

Mighty fine evening and I am going for a dip in the sea as sson as I finish this message.

Wind speed has dropped to 12 mph but still form the east and the barometer has nudged up to 1015mb from 1014 earlier. The sky is remains cloudy but not overcast. Nice blue patches and a nice gentle breeze. Lovely evening.

Okay, I'm jealous!

I've been to Barbados once via a Carnival cruise in 1997. A friend and I went on a catamaran (spelling?) ride. It was AWESOME!!! :D I made the mistake of asking when we where pretty far out to sea of how deep the water was at that point and the gentleman said about 100' deep. I think my friend would've killed me if she wasn't hanging on for dear life!

Stephanie, if you ever get a chance to come back make sure you see the east coast (especially Bathsheba and Cattlewash). You'll never want to leave! I've heard more than a few tourist remark that it's the most beautiful place they've ever been.

Anyway, back to the topic of the thread. Earlier in my part of the island (the southwest) there were some moderately heavy showers accompanied with a few higher than normal gusts but all of that has abated now and given way to a rather pleasant night with quite a few stars visible. Eat your heart out!

abajan - I'd LOVE to go down there again! It is a beautiful island - heck all of those islands are beautiful and the people are so friendly!

Enjoy the nice night! :D

Overcast this morning

#9 Postby Renata » Tue Jul 20, 2004 5:51 am

According to satellite the main activity has passed Barbados but woke up this morning and it is overcast and raining with light to moderate showers almost consistently. It is going to be a wet day here today - although the weather forecast calls for scattered showers.
