Development of a tropical cyclone is possible in the next 36 hours according to the NHC.

Am I the only one dismayed that millions of taxpayer dollars and they can't show the entire circle, but have to cover it with a box?

Well if the convection keeps poofing it might be Friday before they actually name it Alex. If that were the case they would have to extend their area all the way to Jamiaca. The ULL to the north looks like it will be moving with a more northerly component away from the Caribbean by then.

We've seen this before. I don't think it means there are any closer to upgrading the system.

The box no longer covers the circle... maybe they fixed it? And if no one saw it, just be assured that I am crazy.
